Canva in the Classroom

If you’ve been following my journey as an educator and a small business owner, you may have noticed that I love to use and teach about a free-to-use online graphic design tool called Canva.

You can use Canva to create social media posts, presentations, posters, videos, logos and more.  I use Canva all the time in my design business, creating materials for my own brand, as well as designs and templates for other small business owners and for educators.

Though I am no longer a classroom teacher, I am a strong advocate for using Canva in the classroom, and love teaching other educators the many ways they can utilize this amazing platform in their classrooms.  Canva can be an incredibly beneficial tool for creating visually appealing and engaging materials for your students and colleagues.

Here are just a few benefits of using Canva in the classroom:

  1. User-Friendly Interface:

Canva has an intuitive and user-friendly interface that makes it easy to create professional-looking designs.

  2. Wide Range of Templates:

Canva offers a wide range of templates that are specifically designed for educational purposes, including lesson plans, worksheets, infographics, and posters.

  3. Customizable Designs:

Canva allows you to customize your designs to suit your specific needs and preferences. You can change colors, fonts, and layouts, and add your own images and text.

  4. Collaborative Features:

Canva allows you to collaborate with other teachers, students, or colleagues on your designs, making it easy to share resources and ideas.

  5. Time-Saving:

Canva can save you time by providing pre-designed templates and easy-to-use tools that allow you to quickly create professional-looking materials.

Overall, Canva is an excellent tool for any teacher with its user-friendly interface, wide range of templates, customizable designs, collaborative features, and time-saving capabilities!
