My Favorite Tip For Digital Decluttering
If you read my “fun facts” you know that I have my Professional Organizing Certification and I love to organize homes! Though my passion now lies in digital organizing, I use one of my favorite home organizing tools in the digital world, too!
At home I love using baskets to keep rooms, closets, and shelves organized. On my computer and phone, folders are my digital baskets! There are many ways to use folders to stay organized, and best part is you can start right now, while you’re watching tv!
Utilize your notes app! Not only can you use your notes app to make lists, but you can create folders that keep multiple lists together and easily accessible.
Create your own folders for apps! There are many ways to do this but my personal favorite is to group like apps together and label them with an affirmation. For example, put all your banking and shopping apps together with a label like “I am abundant!” PS- don’t forget to declutter by removing old apps you no longer use!
Use folders on your desktop! It can be so overwhelming to see a bunch of icons every time you open your laptop.
Organize your photos in folders, too! You can organize by trips you’ve gone on, photos you are using for social media posting, etc!
One of my favorite ways to keep my business organized is my google drive. And yes, I use folders here! Folders for my personal documents, my business documents, projects I am working on, etc!
Does this sound easy or overwhelming? My advice is to start small, like with decluttering your apps right now! If you’re looking for help getting all of your folder organizing done, reach out today for a free consultation call!
